Boreta
Boreta is a side project of Justin Boreta’s (member of the Glitch Mob). His music comes out the Los Angeles glitch/dubstep scene which is actually making some headway at the moment. A more proper classification I believe is hip-glitch or glitch-hop (the mashing up of hip-hop and glitch). The style is much different from what I like to call the more “proper” UK glitch and dubstep artists who prefer cleaner wobbles and samples. Us Yankees seem to always want to take everything to the extreme, and I kind of like it. We are like the friend who takes your genius idea and puts their little twist on it, then claim they invented the sound. As the old quote goes, “Good artists borrow, great artists steal.” Turn this one up!
